Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of accounting experience, with proven experience in the restaurant or food & beverage industry. The role requires strong knowledge of financial reporting, inventory management, cost control, tax regulations, and day-to-day accounting operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with management to ensure accurate financial records, optimize costs, and support business growth through sound financial practices.
key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor restaurant sales, revenues, expenses, and profitability.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
- Track inventory transactions and food cost variances.
- Process payroll and ensure accurate employee-related financial records.
- Prepare and submit tax filings and statutory reports.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate bookkeeping.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities when required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Department) from Cairo University or Ain Shams University.
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.
- Previous experience in restaurants, hospitality, or food & beverage industry is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of inventory management and cost control procedures.
- Familiarity with Egyptian tax and accounting regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
